Sciences Po, one of France’s leading universities, is inviting applications for the prestigious Emily Boutmy Scholarship for the 2025 academic year. Named after the founder of Sciences Po, this scholarship aims to support the most talented international students from outside the European Union, helping them pursue undergraduate or master’s studies at Sciences Po.
Scholarship Overview
The Emily Boutmy Scholarship offers financial aid to exceptional non-European students based on academic excellence and potential. Thanks to generous sponsors like Chalhoub Group, Fondation Geneviève McMillan-Reba Stewart, Fondation Luksic Scholars, L’Oréal, and Michel-David Weill, the scholarship aims to create opportunities for deserving students to experience top-quality education at Sciences Po.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a first-time applicant from a non-EU country.
- Have been accepted into an undergraduate or master’s program at Sciences Po.
- Ensure their household does not file taxes in the European Union.
Note: Dual citizens with EU citizenship, Swiss and Norwegian students, candidates for certain dual-degree programs, and PhD students are generally not eligible. The scholarship also cannot be combined with most other scholarships, though exceptions may apply.
Scholarship Funding
The Emily Boutmy Scholarship provides financial support depending on the program level:
- Bachelor’s Degree:
- A tuition grant ranging from €6,500 to €14,720 annually for three years.
- This support is maintained during the third-year abroad and can be renewed if the student continues their graduate studies at Sciences Po.
- Master’s Degree:
- A tuition grant of €13,100 per year for the two-year program.
- Scholarship amounts are fixed during admission but may adjust with tuition increases.
Application Process
- Indicate Interest: While completing the Sciences Po application, candidates should select the Emily Boutmy Scholarship in the “Financial Information” section.
- Documentation: Be prepared to submit proof of income and family financial documents (tax returns, payslips, etc.).
