Northeast Asia Legal Jilin University Scholarship 2025 Program
Jilin University has officially opened applications for its prestigious 2025/2026 Northeast Asia Legal Talents Program, offered under the Youth of Excellence Scheme of the Chinese Government Scholarship. This one-year master’s program aims to cultivate top-tier international legal professionals specializing in Northeast Asian legal affairs. Designed to strengthen legal and economic ties in the region, the program prepares participants to excel in both theoretical and practical aspects of international law, negotiations, and legal writing.

Eligibility is open to non-Chinese citizens under the age of 45, who hold at least a bachelor’s degree and have three or more years of relevant work experience. Preference is given to candidates with educational or professional backgrounds related to law or Northeast Asia. Applicants must also fall into one of four categories: governmental officials at or above the department level, senior executives in institutions or enterprises, administrative staff in universities or research institutes, or individuals with experience in international organizations.
The application process requires candidates to complete an online application through Jilin University’s International Student Service System by January 10, 2025. Applicants must upload all required documents, including passport details, diplomas, transcripts, recommendation letters, and health certificates. After an initial screening by the College of International Education, shortlisted candidates will undergo further evaluation through remote interviews or written exams. Final submissions to the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System must be completed by March 24, 2025, following pre-admission results.
