An Exclusive Opportunity for Young Climate Leaders

The Climate Champions Team invites young leaders worldwide to apply for the 2025 Youth Fellowship. This prestigious opportunity will allow selected fellows to support the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions for COP29 and COP30 while actively contributing to global climate initiatives.

About the Fellowship: The Climate Champions Youth Fellowship is designed to empower young professionals and advocates in the fight against climate change. Through this program, the Climate Champions Team aims to integrate youth voices into policy discussions, campaigns, and strategic initiatives, ensuring that future generations play a vital role in shaping sustainable solutions.

Key Fellowship Areas: Selected fellows will work across several focus areas, including:

  • Race To Zero and Race To Resilience Campaigns – Advancing climate action through targeted global initiatives.
  • Systems Transformation – Engaging in financial sector reforms and tracking critical change signals.
  • Stakeholder and Policy Engagement – Driving interactions with key decision-makers and policymakers.
  • Strategic Communications and Events – Promoting climate initiatives through high-level events and media campaigns.

Fellows will also receive training in leadership development, systems thinking, and stakeholder engagement while collaborating with global youth organizations to amplify climate efforts.

Fellowship Details:

  • Duration: Nine months (April to December 2025)
  • Time Commitment: 16 hours per week
  • Compensation: Paid Fellowship

Who Should Apply? The program is open to early- and mid-career professionals aged 18-30 (as of January 1, 2025) with a demonstrated track record in climate and sustainability advocacy. Applicants should have at least five years of relevant experience, including full-time work or volunteering, particularly in climate leadership, community organizing, or one of the specialized fellowship areas.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be between 18-30 years old by January 1, 2025.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in climate-related work or volunteering.
  • Ability to commit 16 hours per week to the program.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working across time zones.
  • Access to a laptop and reliable internet.
  • A commitment to advancing non-state actor contributions to the Paris Agreement.
