What is the Yale Peace Fellowship?

Hosted by the International Leadership Center (ILC) at Yale University, the Yale Peace Fellowship is an elite global program that selects 16 Fellows each year from diverse sectors—civil society, diplomacy, politics, religion, and social enterprise. These individuals are chosen for their proven impact and commitment to shaping a more peaceful and just world.

In a time when traditional peace efforts are strained and grassroots innovation is more crucial than ever, this fellowship offers the tools, network, and knowledge to help leaders grow and thrive.

Fellowship Timeline & Global Components

  • Virtual Sessions: Bi-weekly interactive online sessions from January to May 2026.
  • UAE International Study Trip: Visit the United Arab Emirates from February 1–5, 2026, to:
    • Attend the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity ceremony.
    • Connect with top interfaith and peacebuilding initiatives.
    • Meet leading peacebuilders, mediators, and global experts.
  • In-Person Seminar at Yale: A powerful, immersive seminar will be held at Yale University from April 13–17, 2026.

  • Have a track record of leadership in peace-related work.
  • Are engaged in fields like conflict prevention, interfaith dialogue, post-conflict reconciliation, diplomacy, or community leadership.
