What Is This Fellowship About?

The TWAS-ICCBS Postdoctoral Fellowship offers foreign scientists the chance to conduct high-level research for 6 to 12 months in Pakistan’s top research institutions: the H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry and the Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular and Drug Research. These institutes are internationally recognized for their cutting-edge work in chemical and biological sciences.

Who Can Apply?

You are eligible if you:

  • Are under 45 years old as of 31 December 2025
  • Are a national of a developing country (excluding Pakistan)
  • Hold a PhD in natural sciences (e.g., chemistry, biotech, molecular biology, pharmacology)
  • Are employed in a research role in your home country
  • Do not hold a temporary or permanent visa for Pakistan or any developed country
  • Can provide a certificate of good health
  • Can show proof of English proficiency (if education wasn’t in English)
  • Will return to your home country after completing the fellowship
  • Will not take up any other assignment during the fellowship
  • Can support any accompanying family members yourself.
