Italian Foundation Scholarship 2026 Invites Applications from Middle Eastern Students for Master’s in Italy
The Med-Or Italian Foundation, in collaboration with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, has announced the opening of applications for its prestigious Scholars Program for the academic year 2025–2026. The initiative aims to support talented students from Middle Eastern countries who wish to pursue the Master’s Program in Middle Eastern Studies at the university’s Milan campus.
Under the program, two scholarships — each valued at EUR 12,000 — will be awarded to cover tuition fees, travel, housing, and living expenses. This funding is intended to ease the financial burden for students and allow them to focus fully on their academic and professional growth.
Funding and Benefits
The scholarship amount is divided into two main components:
- EUR 7,500 to cover tuition and university fees, to be allocated at the start of the program in January 2026.
- EUR 4,500 to assist with travel and living costs, paid in two instalments: EUR 2,500 by December 2025 and EUR 2,000 by April 2026.
The award is subject to Italian tax regulations, and recipients are required to maintain a minimum of 90% class attendance and satisfactory academic performance throughout the program.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification and be a citizen or resident of an eligible Middle Eastern country. The list includes Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, and the Palestinian National Authority.

Applications must be submitted through the university’s designated online portals:
- Graduates from Italian universities should apply via https://master.unicatt.it/ammissione
- Graduates from non-Italian universities should apply via https://international.unicatt.it/
Applicants should clearly state their intention to compete for the scholarship and provide all required admission documents, including a copy of their passport or proof of residency.
Application Timeline
The application period will run from July 11, 2025, to September 24, 2025. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
The Med-Or Italian Foundation says the program is part of its broader mission to strengthen educational and cultural ties between Italy and Middle Eastern countries, while empowering young professionals to become future leaders in regional and global affairs.
