Artemis Foundation Scholarship 2026 Now Open for Applications
The University of Waikato has officially announced the opening of applications for the prestigious Artemis Foundation Scholarship 2026—a life-changing opportunity created to support students facing financial or personal hardships. Established in 2019 by University of Waikato alumnus Victor Li, this scholarship continues to break down barriers to higher education and empower the next generation of leaders.
Purpose of the Scholarship
The Artemis Foundation Scholarship is designed to assist current University of Waikato undergraduate students who are in their third or fourth year of study. It is open to those pursuing degrees in fields connected to Education, Business, or Environmental Sustainability. The scholarship especially aims to help students who show both strong academic promise and resilience in overcoming personal or financial difficulties.
Scholarship Benefits
The award is valued at $7,000 and distributed as follows:
- $5,000 directly credited towards tuition fees.
- $2,000 paid directly to the recipient after the first trimester withdrawal date.
This financial support not only eases tuition costs but also provides direct assistance to help recipients manage living expenses and continue their academic journey.

To qualify, applicants must:
- Be enrolled full-time (120 points) in their third or fourth year of their first undergraduate degree.
- Be studying in Education, Business, Environmental Sustainability, or a combination of these fields.
- Hold at least a B+ average in their previous studies.
- Be eligible for domestic fee status (NZ citizens, NZ permanent residents, NZ residential class visa holders, or Australian citizens/permanent residents living in NZ).
Special consideration will be given to applicants demonstrating financial hardship, extraordinary personal circumstances, and academic potential. Preference will also be given to female students in line with the Artemis Foundation’s mission.

Students applying for the Artemis Foundation Scholarship 2026 must complete an online application that includes:
- A statement on why completing their degree is essential to their future.
