CIHR Canada Graduate Research Scholarship 2026 for Master Degree Admission
The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has officially opened applications for the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Master’s (CGS M) program for the Spring 2026 intake. This prestigious scholarship aims to support Canadian students pursuing research-focused master’s programs in health-related fields, offering both financial support and recognition for academic excellence.
Purpose of the Scholarship
The CGS M program is designed to help students strengthen their research skills and advance their academic training. By investing in highly qualified personnel at the master’s level, CIHR seeks to build Canada’s research capacity in health disciplines while supporting outstanding graduate students early in their careers.
CIHR CGS Scholarship Value
Recipients of the CIHR CGS M will receive $27,000 for one year, following an increase in award value implemented in Fall 2024. This funding is intended to ease financial pressures and enable students to focus on their research and studies.
