Fully Funded South Korean UST Scholarship 2026 Spring Class Open
The University of Science and Technology (UST) Korea has officially opened applications for its Spring 2026 intake. Known for blending advanced academic training with practical research across 30 government-funded institutes, UST offers one of the most unique study experiences in South Korea.
What You Get – Scholarship Benefits?
Imagine walking into a world-class lab in South Korea, knowing that your entire education is completely funded—yes, zero tuition fees. On top of that, every month you’ll receive a generous stipend: KRW 1,200,000 if you’re a Master’s student and KRW 1,600,000 if you’re pursuing a Ph.D.. But here’s where it gets even more exciting—you won’t just be a student, you’ll actually be employed by your research institute while you study, earning a salary as you dive deep into groundbreaking projects.
Your well-being is taken care of too, with national health and accident insurance included, so you can focus fully on your studies and research without worries. And the opportunities don’t stop there—you’ll be actively involved in cutting-edge research projects and real lab work, gaining hands-on experience that most students only dream about. For those in the RCA Degree Programme, there’s an extra bonus: an additional KRW 2,000,000 and even exclusive visits to nuclear facilities.
This isn’t just a scholarship—it’s a career-defining launchpad where you study, earn, research, and grow all at once.
Who Can Apply – Eligibility
So, who exactly gets to grab this golden ticket to UST Korea? If you’re aiming for a Master’s or Integrated Program, you’ll need to have a Bachelor’s degree in hand—or be set to graduate by February 2026. If your sights are higher and you’re applying for a Ph.D., then a Master’s degree (or its equivalent) is your entry pass.
But that’s not all—you’ll also need to prove you can keep up in the classroom. UST asks for language proficiency, which means showing valid scores such as TOEFL iBT 79+, IELTS 6.0+, or TOPIK Level 4+. Don’t worry if you fall under certain categories though—there are exemptions. If you’re a UST graduate, from an English-speaking country, or applying to the Specialized Master’s Program, you can skip the test score requirement altogether.
In short, if you’ve got the degree, the ambition, and the language skills (or an exemption up your sleeve), then you’re exactly who UST is looking for.
