German DAAD Scholarship Re-inviting Previous Winners for Another Scholarship
In a move that celebrates academic excellence and global collaboration, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has announced the return of its prestigious Re-Invitation Programme for 2025. This initiative offers former DAAD scholarship holders a chance to return to Germany for short-term research or professional projects, reinforcing Germany’s commitment to fostering international knowledge exchange.
The Re-Invitation Programme, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, invites former DAAD recipients to conduct research or work-related projects at universities, research institutions, or organizations across Germany. This opportunity is open to scholars who were previously supported by DAAD grants for more than six months or East German scholarship recipients who studied in Germany for at least one year.
Opportunities for Global Impact
The 2025 programme allows for a stay of one to three months in Germany, during which participants may engage in academic research, collaborate with German partners, or work in sectors such as business, media, culture, or administration. Multiple host institutions may be included in the visit, offering flexible and enriching experiences across disciplines.
Financial Benefits
Participants will receive monthly stipends of €2,000 for assistant lecturers and early-career academics, and €2,150 for professors. For those working outside academia, funding will be adjusted according to qualifications. Additional support includes travel allowances, health insurance coverage, and special provisions for participants with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be former DAAD scholarship holders funded for at least six months,
- Or be East German scholarship recipients who studied in Germany for one year or more,
