Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Program 2025

The Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan), has announced the opening of the 2025/2026 Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Programme, offering Ukrainian students a unique opportunity to study Mandarin and experience Taiwanese culture. The scholarship is designed to improve language skills, promote cultural understanding, and foster academic and educational ties between Taiwan and Ukraine.

The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of NT$25,000, which can be used to cover tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses. Recipients will have the chance to enroll in intensive Mandarin courses at accredited language centers in Taiwan, gaining valuable linguistic and cultural experience.

Applications must be submitted to the Education Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Poland by February 28, 2025. Required documents include a completed application form (https://www.roc-taiwan.org/pl_pl/post/8907.html), a signed consent for data processing, a copy of the applicant’s passport, academic transcripts, proof of application to a language center, and a recommendation letter from a professor or supervisor. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a TOCFL (Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language) certificate.

Applicants are reminded that the scholarship application is separate from the language center admission process, and receiving the scholarship does not guarantee admission. The necessary documents must be mailed to the Education Division’s office in Warsaw, ensuring they arrive before the deadline.

This scholarship is a significant opportunity for Ukrainian students to deepen their knowledge of the Chinese language and Taiwanese culture while strengthening the bond between the two nations.
