KAIST Announces 2024 Summer KAI-X Research Internship for Global Science Students

The KAIST Advanced Institute for Science-X (KAI-X) is now accepting applications for its esteemed 2024 Summer Research Internship Program, aimed at nurturing the next generation of scientific leaders. This competitive program is open to third and fourth-year undergraduate students, as well as master’s students in natural sciences, from across the globe.

Scheduled from June 24 to August 16, 2024, the eight-week program provides a unique opportunity for students specializing in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Brain & Cognitive Science, and Medical Science to engage in advanced research projects. Hosted at the KAIST campus in South Korea, the program emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration and innovation.

Application Insights

Prospective interns have until March 31, 2024, to submit their KAI-X applications, which should include an application form, an activity plan essay, proof of enrollment, an official transcript, and a letter of recommendation. Applications are to be sent via email to kai-x@kaist.ac.kr.

Program Perks

Selected participants will benefit from a comprehensive support package covering round-trip airfare up to 1 million KRW and dormitory costs up to 500,000 KRW. Interns will be assigned to one of their preferred laboratories, working under the mentorship of KAIST’s world-renowned faculty.
