The Master Mind Scholarship 2025-2026 at KU Leuven Finland, sponsored by the Flemish Ministry of Education and Training is now open for online applications. Its an exceptional opportunity for outstanding students worldwide to pursue Master’s programs at prestigious universities in Flanders and Brussels, including KU Leuven.
This scholarship provides a €10,000 grant and a tuition fee waiver per academic year, ensuring minimal financial barriers for scholars. Eligible applicants benefit from a full fee waiver, requiring only an annual administration fee, which was €131.50 last year. The scholarship covers one academic year for a 60 ECTS Master’s program and up to two years for a 120 ECTS program.
The Flemish government will award 30 Master Mind Scholarships for the 2025–2026 academic year, including country-specific allocations for Japan, Mexico, Palestine, and the USA. KU Leuven, one of the participating universities, will nominate 20 candidates. Recipients are also automatically considered for additional scholarships, such as the Inspiring the Outstanding Scholarship and KU Leuven’s regional scholarships for ASEAN, Africa, and Central and South America.
To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate exceptional academic performance with a high GPA, hold previous degrees from institutions outside Flanders, and meet English language proficiency requirements. Accepted tests include TOEFL (minimum 94), IELTS (minimum 7), and Cambridge CPE (minimum level C2). Exemptions apply to students who completed English-taught programs in specific countries. Candidates already enrolled in Flemish institutions or holding other scholarships from the Flemish Government or Erasmus Mundus are ineligible.
The application process begins on October 29, 2024, with a deadline of January 15, 2025. Applicants must submit a complete Master’s program application, including a KU Leuven Scholarships & Master Mind Candidacy Form (https://www.kuleuven.be/scholarships/year/2025-2026/master-mind-scholarship). Nominated candidates will be informed by March 8, 2025, and required to submit a one-minute motivational video for further selection. The Flemish government’s Selection Commission will finalize the list of recipients, with results announced by June 2025.
