Ministry of Education (MOE) Taiwan Scholarships 2024 Batch

The Ministry of Education (MOE) in Taiwan is offering fully funded scholarships for international students for the year 2024. These scholarships are available for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs at public universities in Taiwan. Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of over NT$25,000.

The scholarship covers tuition fees up to NT$40,000, medical, and residential expenses. Bachelor students will receive an additional NT$15,000 stipend, while Master’s and Ph.D. students can get around NT$20,000. The scholarships are offered for up to 4 years for undergraduate and Ph.D. students, and up to 2 years for Master’s students, subject to an annual review.

To apply, candidates must seek admission directly to one of the following Taiwanese universities: National Taiwan University, National Cheng Kung University, National Taipei University, National Tsing Hua University, National Chung Cheng University, and National Chung Hsing University. Each university has its own admission requirements and deadlines, but common application documents include two recommendation letters, a research proposal or study plan, previous transcripts/degrees, the MOE scholarship application form, a passport, and a language proficiency certificate.

Applicants have the option to apply for MOE Taiwan scholarships under both the MOE and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). If selected by multiple universities, candidates must choose one offer and are expected to arrive in Taiwan in September to start their classes.
