Pac Rim Scholarship Opportunities 2026 for International Students
Attending the Pacific Rim Conference 2026 can be a life-changing experience for students and young professionals who want to expand their academic and professional horizons. Recognizing the financial challenges many may face, the Center on Disability Studies (CDS) has launched the Pac Rim Scholarship Program to make this prestigious event more accessible.
Scholarship Details
The Pac Rim Scholarship is designed to support students, young/early professionals, attendees with disabilities, self-advocates, family members, and others who wish to attend the conference but face financial barriers.
- Coverage: Complimentary conference registration.
- Not Covered: Travel and accommodation expenses must be borne by recipients.
- Visa Note for International Applicants: Scholarship funds cannot be used to support visa arrangements. Students must independently manage their visa process to attend the conference in the U.S.
Application Process
Applicants are required to answer an open-ended question in 200 words or less, describing at least two ways in which attending the conference will help them grow personally or professionally. Submissions must also connect their goals to the conference theme: “Unbreakable Threads: Communities of Resilience and Continuity.”
Your response should be clear, structured, and easy to follow with an introduction, main points, and conclusion.
Application Dates
The Pac Rim Scholarship Committee—comprised of faculty, staff, community council members, and graduate students—will review all applications.
Application Deadline: Sunday, October 5, 2025.
