Radiance Fellowship 2026-2027 at SUNY Plattsburgh Opening Soon

Are you an international student pursuing graduate studies in the U.S. and looking for a fully immersive, financially supported campus experience? SUNY Plattsburgh is calling you to become a part of its vibrant academic community through the Radiance Fellowship 2026–27, launching its next round of applications this October!

The Radiance Fellowship is a prestigious opportunity named after a “radiance of cardinals”—a fitting metaphor for the spirit of collaboration that drives success among SUNY Plattsburgh students. This program allows selected graduate students to benefit from on-campus housing discounts of 50–100%, and paid campus work positions at $15/hour, working 10–20 hours per week.

What Does the Radiance Fellowship Offer?

  • Substantial Housing Discount: Live on-campus in a single room with a 50%–100% housing fee waiver depending on your work hours.
  • Campus Employment: Earn $15/hour working in an academic or administrative department, gaining professional experience.
  • Career-Boosting Roles: Work in paraprofessional roles aligned with your previous education and experience.
  • Networking: Build strong academic and professional connections with faculty, staff, and students.

Who Is Eligible?

  • Enrolled full-time in a graduate certificate or master’s program at SUNY Plattsburgh (12+ credit hours).
  • Must live on the main campus and be physically available to complete fellowship duties.
  • Open to new and continuing graduate students—international applicants are welcome.
  • Maintain good academic standing throughout the fellowship.
  • Cannot combine the Radiance Fellowship with any graduate assistantship or federal work-study job.

How to Apply?

When applications open on October 1, 2025, follow these steps:

  1. Complete the Radiance Fellowship Application form online https://www.plattsburgh.edu/admissions/graduate/aid/radiance-fellowship.html.
  2. Include a cover letter, resume, and three professional references.
  3. Ensure you are matriculated in a graduate program for the 2026–27 academic year.
  4. Await possible interview and selection from the hiring department.
