The Mecca Scholars Fund 2025-2026 Now Open

The gates to one of the most impactful community-driven scholarship programs have officially opened — and this year, the Mecca Scholars Fund brings a thrilling new dimension to your journey toward funding your education!

What’s New? Volunteer to Earn Your Scholarship

In a powerful move that reinforces service and commitment, the 2025–2026 Mecca Scholars Fund now requires unpaid volunteer hours at The Mecca Center as a core part of the scholarship application process. Whether you’re applying for merit-based or need-based aid, rolling up your sleeves and giving back to your community is no longer optional — it’s essential.

Here’s what you need to know:


Merit-Based Scholarship

  • Minimum Volunteer Hours: 45 unpaid hours
  • Eligible Hours Counted From: January 2025 through August 15, 2025

Need-Based Scholarship

  • Minimum Volunteer Hours: 15 unpaid hours
  • Eligible Hours Counted From: January 2025 through August 15, 2025.

Important Volunteering Guidelines:

  • Each volunteer session must be logged individually in the official Volunteer Hours Form.
  • Every entry requires the signatures of TWO (2) Mecca Center staff members (not related to you or personally affiliated).
  • Scan and compile your signed hours log as ONE PDF to submit digitally.
  • Also submit the physical, stapled version of the form in the main office drop box at The Mecca Center.

REMINDER: Applications missing either the scanned digital copy OR the hard copy of the volunteer form WILL NOT be considered. Only PDF format is accepted for digital submissions.

Application Deadline
